In the scramble to buy Thanksgiving meal groceries, Christmas gifts, holiday decorations and other such supplies, take a moment to be still and meditate on life – in all its complicated forms and expressions…
…the good and bad, difficult and easy, stress-inducing and carefree-giving, annoying and pleasing…
You get the point – it’s all life.
For me, this year has been an ongoing experiment in intentional living, consistent writing, creative dream-building, and simple-r living. And, at every “month marker” and end-of-the-quarter reflection period I noted or highlighted on my calendar, I’ve paused to take stock of:
- who I’ve met and those I have yet to meet…
- what I’ve accomplished and what I have yet to do…
- when I’ve been too busy working for others to work on my heart’s desires and when I have made time to enjoy myself and the desires of my heart…
- where I’ve traveled to and places I have yet to see and be…
- why I’ve chosen to “try life a little differently” and why it is (or isn’t) working out for me so far…
- whether I’ve treated others (friends, family, co-workers, trainees, customers, clients, and strangers) with the care, concern, courtesy, and respect I’d like or whether I have failed to show others that in return…
- and, how I’ve grown as a person (woman, daughter, sister, wife, friend, employee, citizen, spirit) during the time.
So…
On today, I’m reminding you and being reminded of the following:
In every thing, give thanks. ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

I am very thankful that God chose you to be my sweet, inspirational, witty, and wise sister!
