Hey! My name is Lucretia,  and my mission is to encourage others to explore the world around them (near and far), embrace their inner guiding spirit, and to live to their highest potential.

True to self, I have often chosen roads less traveled to see the world and meet people beyond my eastern North Carolina birthplace.  My journeys have taken me from one shore of this North American continent to the other, around the world to places like South Korea, New Zealand, and Egypt, then home again. Similarly, my work experiences range from being a Medicare counselor and ESL instructor to serving in AmeriCorps as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and in the United States Air Force as a weather specialist.

When I’m not writing or crafting, I can be found cruising country roads in my converted cargo van “August,” browsing the shelves in discount stores (ummm… Ok, actually… in Ikea… that’s my favorite!), or simply sitting in a café observing life around me.  Starting this online journal in 2015 has been just one of many ways I’ve determined to change my small world and, in turn, the world at large – one vision at a time!
